Electromobility Model Region – Stuttgart
Overview
In 2008, the German government selected eight electromobility model regions and provided them with subsidies from the so-called “Economic Stimulus Package 2”. The declared objective of EnBW and all partners involved in the “Stuttgart Model Region” project was to achieve a high level of visibility for electric mobility in the cityscape. This highlighted the development of electromobility in public spaces and significantly increased user acceptance. EnBW used the e-bike, which at that time was rather underrepresented in Germany, as a vehicle for analyzing future electromobility behavior in the form of a “rolling laboratory”. Dornier Consulting supported EnBW in all operational areas of this model project.
